Adsorbents & Desiccant Media

Zan-Tech has been involved for over 35 years in the air and gas purification industry. With this experience, we expanded our portfolio to include a wide range of adsorbent media. We currently stock a very comprehensive range of Molecular sieves, Activated Alumina’s, Silica Gels and Activated Carbons.

With over 50 grades of material, we have a product to suite every form of industry, whether it be dehydration, gas separation, gas generation or water purification.

Activated Alumina

Activated alumina is a highly porous media that has a very high affinity for absorbing water vapour. Used for compressed air and gas drying/dehydration. Activated Alumina is typically regenerated by pressure swing in a twin tower dryer or with an external heat source.

i.e. Blower Purge or HOC heat regenerated drying systems. Widely used in general industry, petrochemical, breweries etc
Grades for the removal of fluorides from water are also available.

Activated Carbon

We supply a large range of Activated Carbons that can be used in the selective elimination of chemical impurities in both liquids and gases.

Industries include chemical, metallurgical, water treatment and environmental protection. Carbon Molecular Sieves (CMS) are also available for Nitrogen generators

Molecular Sieves

Molecular sieve powder, beads and extrudates for air, gas and solvent dehydration / separation. Available in the following grades: 3A, 4A, 5A 10X, 13 X, APG.

Silica Gels

Desiccant silica gel is a granular, vitreous, highly porous form of silica made synthetically from sodium silicate. Silica gel has a strong affinity for water vapour molecules.

In natural form Silica gel is opaque. Available in a number of bead sizes and for use in a number of packaging applications.

Pharmaceutical Silica Gels

Pre-packed desiccant sachets have a high moisture adsorbing capacity and are compact, extremely durable, non-dusting and disposable. Offered with a variety of sorbent blends and sachet sizes to meet specific packaging needs.

Zan-Tech Silica gels have been tested by the SDA Institute and meet the specific requirements as noted in the RoHS directive 2002/95/EC for the pharmaceutical and food industries.
